Obama and Ferraro

Geraldine Ferraro stepped down from the Hillary campaign because she spoke truth to for ... a campaign willing to cower.

But now that Obama has included her in his major speech on race, Ferraro, free of the fetters of being a part of the cowering campaign,
just plain speaks truth:

To equate what I said with what this racist bigot has said from the pulpit is unbelievable

And in that
major speech on race, Obama indicated he thought it wrong to:

...pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she's playing the race card.

Good for him. Let's watch as he upbraids his campaign for its lion-like agility!

The Obama campaign called for Geraldine Ferraro to step down as a member of the Clinton campaign’s finance committee for comments she made suggesting Obama’s race is why he’s a leading presidential candidate. ...

Axelrod said the Clinton campaign’s response was not enough and that “she ought to be removed” from any responsibilities she has on the campaign’s finance committeeo or in any other way related to the campaign

Yes, it's a jungle out there, and Obama campaign is determined to be king of that jungle, like every other campaign we have ever seen.

Despite its high and lofty -- and utterly vapid -- rhetoric.
